The Power of Grace Ministries

September 12

One of Paul’s deepest prayers for the Ephesians and for us, is to fully understand the grace God has shown us.

Ephesians 3:14 -19
, 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height --19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Paul has such an understanding of the grace of God and our true position as children of God that his prayer is for all to come to the same understanding. Once you come to the same understanding there is a gentle boldness that can come over you where you too are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, (Romans 1:16). Since our spoken word has such power, and when we believe the word of God and make it our own you can take these verses and turn them into a powerful prayer for yourselves. In doing so your inner man, or spirit man will be strengthened and your old man, or carnal thinking will subside. You will begin to see and walk in the power and authority as children of God, that He wants you to walk in. Make this prayer your own; I did and it changed my life.

“Lord I thank you that you have called me to adoption into You’re family in Christ Jesus; that You desire to strengthen me in my inner man with might through Your Holy Spirit according to Your riches. I will allow Jesus to live in my heart through faith, knowing that I am being rooted and grounded in love. Because I have the mind of Christ, I am able to comprehend, with all my fellow saints, the width, length, depth, and height of You and Jesus’ love for me which passes simple knowledge, and I thank You that I am being filled with all the fullness of God, in Jesus name”.  This prayer stands on these verses of promise: Galatians 4:6, Ephesians 3:16, Zechariah 4:6, Colossians 1:27, Ephesians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 4:7, Luke 6:21 (if you hunger for God, you will be filled).
