The Power of Grace Ministries

January 10

How often do you have the thoughts of not being fully accepted by God or that He may even be angry with you? Ephesians 1:6 says “He made us accepted in the beloved”, that’s a powerful truth of His love.

Ephesians 1:6
, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the beloved.

How many times does the enemy eat our lunch and then pop the bag with the lie of not being accepted by God or Him being angry at us?  At every opportunity the Devil will tell us we are not accepted or not worthy of God.  From the time we begin to learn and especially when we start to school, our worth seems to be based on our performance.  We receive a grade for everything we do and when the grade is bad, the implication is we did not learn or we were bad.  This does not change with graduation because then you get a job and your income is based first on your grades in college and second on your performance while on the job.  Then you get married and your spouse does not like something you did, or your child or parent becomes unhappy with one of your decisions. There will always be times and opportunities for you to feel unaccepted.  Whether it is the Devil giving these thoughts or they are already planted from life’s disappointments, people battle with not feeling accepted.  Here is one of those times in life where we need to push back feelings and begin to grasp God’s truth.  I’m not saying feelings are bad, God gave them to us and there is a time for all of them in moderation.  We must begin to see ourselves as God sees us.  He has made the way for us to take on the image of Jesus. There is nothing man could have done to make ourselves accepted before God.  From the moment we became born again into the kingdom of God through our confession of Jesus as Lord of our lives, God sees Jesus when he looks at us.  Eternal life is in Christ (Romans 6:23).  There is no condemnation in Christ (Romans 8:1).   The Spirit of life is in Christ (Romans 8:2). The love of God is in Christ (Romans 8:39).  Truth is in Christ (Romans 9:1).  We, being many are one body in Christ (Romans 12:5). We are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).  We are in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 2:6).  Meditate on these truths when you are feeling unaccepted because God has made us accepted in the beloved.  Let God be true and every man a liar, (Romans 3:4).  The Devil is a liar and the father of all lies. (John 8:44)   If you have received Jesus, you are accepted in the beloved!
